The devil walking on Earth part 2 – podcast | News

Sosa Henkoma came out of prison when he was 14 – things then turned even darker.

In the next few years, as Sosa puts it, he was in a “severe war”. He lost not only the protection of the drug gang that had groomed him, but many friends killed in the violence that followed.

After a long journey – from hospitals to prisons to safe houses – he managed eventually to escape. Here in part two, Sosa tells Annie Kelly how he found his way out.

“You have to basically destroy the old version of you to remake a new version,” he says. “And for me, trying to destroy the old version of me has been probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.”
