D-day landings 80th anniversary: share your stories | D-day

Thursday 6 June will mark the 80th anniversary of the D-day landings when allied troops arrived on the coast of Normandy, which led to the liberation of Europe and the end of the second world war.

We would like to hear your or your family members’ stories of the D-day landings. Perhaps you know someone who took part or you remember hearing about it when you were a child. We’d like to hear your stories.

We’re also interested in hearing how you might be commemorating the anniversary this year.
